| "Hey, Did You Hear That ...." or "Guess What I Saw On Youtube...." Proverbs 22:1 A [good] name [is] rather to be chosen than great riches, [and] loving favour rather than silver and gold.
Being a Christian Artist in the entertainment business puts you at a unqiue advantage. In a business where bad news seems to be the hottest news, doing right has set many artist apart from their peers and directly into the spotlight.
FACT: Once you upload anything (picture, audio, video, blog diary, etc) IT IS PERMANENTLY OUT THERE for the world and more importantly your family, friends and fans to see. Many an innocent photo has had a not so innocent caption added to it and have been taken completely out of context. Artist have been charged with "breach of contract" by their Managers and Record Labels because of a rediculous Youtube video uploaded in an effor to to create a "Buzz". Leave the promotions to 1-prayer and 2-professionals
SOLUTION: NEVER, and I say again NEVER, even as a joke, upload anything that can come back to damage your image or that of your ministry. The only fast track is controlled by God. When working with promoters such as Mainstage, you must prayerfully trust in their expertise and getting your name out there. The same goes your marketing and promotions company, like TENDO technologies (shameless plug), if they deal with companies and content that contribute to the decline of our, already, deteriorating world, your should turn and flee. If you put your trust in "short-cut" specialists you will eventually become a short stepping stone for their new client who paid $5 more than you did. It takes a Christian, not just in lip service, to support a Christian Artist, Group, or Ministry. Remember Luke 13:25 When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are. Use COMMON SENSE, ASK AROUND, DO YOUR RESEARCH

| Understanding the mind of a venue owner, promoter, or youth pastor is almost impossible, or is it? Dustin Ledford takes you through the ins and outs of not only bookig your first show, but reassuring that you will be invited back.
My name is Dustin also known as “D” from the Christian rap group “Elite”. Just a brief history of myself in the music field, I have not always been a Christian artist so I can be honest for both sides. I began singing in the church at the age 3, I fell in love with music all over again when I first heard hip-hop at age 11, I began writing lyrics and songs at the age of 12, discovered at age 15, and made my first underground LP at age 16. So, now just shy of 26 years old, I have been through the ups and downs of an artist.
